The Bachelor...

The July 2011 issue of Architectural Digest is yet another example of why AD is so friggin' hot again!  It is a virtual variety of projects from the illustrious Elizabeth Taylor residence (now on the market for $8.6 million dollars) and other traditional architectural styles in Hombly Hills, California and the Dominican Republic, to modern residences.  It is worthy cover-to-cover.

But what really caught my eye is this...

So the story goes, 'the bachelor' moved from Seoul, Korea to California to New York.  Landing in this 4,000 square foot loft.  Architecture and design were extremely well executed by David Mann and Brett McCullen of MR Architecture + Decor.

Large windows face the Hudson River, on all three sides of the loft.  It has been furnished with cowhide covered Arne Jacobsen Egg Chairs, a vintage Bodil Kjaer desk of rosewood and a custom made goat hair Ball chair from Soroya Ltd.  Okay, so the place is gorgeous!  Nuff said!

Now you know, this is where "the magic happens".

One of the wonderful finds in Tribeca's many lofts are the rustic original details and artifacts left behind, from their former glory.  I love this sliding door.

I am sure you agree...he won't be living here by himself very long...
