Lauren Santo Domingo

Lauren Santo Domingos Parisian duplex smack-dab-in the in the city exudes the beauty of all things French.  The 'modernscaped' grande family residence is beautifully photographed by famous interiors photographer Oberto Gili in Vogues famous September issue.

Luckily, Vogue gave a few of its 916 page issue to LSD whose portraits are by Norman Jean Roy.  Lauren conveys hey long love affair with France as a young girl, growing up in Connecticut.  A co-founder of Moda Operandi, mother, contributing editor to Vogue Magazine, wife called in highly esteemed and published French decorator Francois Catroux for assistance in designing the flat. Filled with Louis XVl chairs and en suites, moroccan rugs and modern selections, the flat is fresh and modern with a divine sense of French history.

Dylan Laurens' wedding dress reveal by Vogue Magazine

"Who can make the sunrise? The candy girl can cause she mixes it with love to make the world taste good!"

Okay, that was my Sammy Davis Jr. 'Candy Man' remix, as applied to Ms. Dylan Lauren, owner of Dylans' Candy Shoppe in New York.

She recently wed at her family palatial estate in Bedford New York amid 273 acres of landscaping heaven.  The residence was built in 1929, and is loaded with 19th century paintings, furniture and houses Mr. Laurens' trophy car collection - that is the one's he wants to drive are brought to the home.

Vogue August issue shared this image first. Of course Mr. Lauren designed and must have long countless nights sleep obsessing about the details of the dress.  Proof positive it pays to have an expert on the matter, lend their guidance.  Hence, none other than Ms. Vera Wang (former Ralph Lauren womens' designer), lent her hand and advise for its construction.  Goes to a previous post point of mine, that RL is such a wonderful company former employees remain valued.

The wonderful handmaidens surely are beading and stitching Lauren Bush's wedding dress, that Mr. Lauren is also designing for her wedding to son David.  I'm still caught on the Lauren Lauren, L square, L Deuce or LL Cool L.  Whatever will they call her?

One thing for sure... that's another dress I cannot wait to see!

Anna Dello Russo - One woman not afraid of her shadow!

For Vogue Nippon, Editor-in-Chief Anna Dello Russo (ADR), dressing for work takes on a whole new meaning. She is an avid fashion collector in all levels (clothing, shoes, hats, accessories) all topped with her voracious smile.

Anna is Anna Wintours fashion counterpart, but she certainly appears to have more fun. A described 'fashion maniac', the only thing I think she's 'crazy' about is - abandon! Hitting the street with a full stride of confidence to strut the streets. Not just 'owing it' but padlocking it and clutching the deed, in an elaborately bedazzled purse.

I like her! I like her alot! But I'm just not ready to wear some of these gorgeous frocks to my next client meeting yet!

Why is this woman smiling? Because she can...

I would welcome a sight like this during the course of a day. It cannot but lift your spirits. Besides, seeing the faces of passerby's would make me smile too. She believes "fashion is empowerment".
This last image looks like she's thinking "if you get to close to me I will cut you"!

This Rochas ensemble is worth backing away from bread for a months or two. or three or four... Anna, may I have an add day pass to your closet?
